BRAAS donates to local bands

4 Bands in Bo'ness Benefit from BRAAS donation

Each year, with the help of sponsorship from local companies, BRAAS donates excess funds to various groups and organisations in and around Bo'ness.

 

Since the first festival in 2001, when it all started, BRAAS has been able to donate over £10,000 mainly towards youth orientated projects. However, last year, although youth will probably also benefit, the donation made of £1500 was to purchase a defibrillator for the local heart response group.

This year it is back on the youth trail with the youth sections of 4 local bands, based in Bo'ness, each receiving £250 towards instruments, travel or whatever they need to most to keep up the good work. They were:-

All the bands in Bo'ness compete regularly in competition and we wish all the young up-and-coming stars of the future all the very best and look forward to hearing of their own successes in future years.
