Visit from GermanyNews of the Bo'ness Real Ale and Music Festival has travelled to Germany - spurring a visit from the area's twinned region, Odenwald near Frankfurt.
German Renate Wolf (pictured in the green dress) heard about the festival from Bo'ness Labour Councillor Adrian Mahoney - the Falkirk area's tourism convener. His sales pitch was so good, Renate booked her flights and joined in this year's event at Bo'ness Town Hall on Friday. Organisers were delighted to have an international guest at their annual event - which raises funds for local good causes. Keeping Renate company at the festival were members of the Falkirk Twinning Association and the local Odenwald Association. Councillor Mahoney said: "I've been telling people in Odenwald all about the Bo'ness Fair, and things like our annual real ale festival. I was delighted to hear that Renate was coming across to sample some Bo'ness hospitality for herself. I hope she enjoyed her evening."
