Bo'ness Town Hall, Stewart Avenue, Bo'ness Friday 5 October 2007 5pm till 11pm Saturday 6 October 2007 12 noon till 11pmBetter late than never, as the saying goes!Yes, the Bo'ness Real Ale Festival will be happening again this year and be as good as and maybe even better than last year. Although, as last year, Falkirk Council is not holding a music festival, BRAAS will continue with the WayToBlue theme, as usual, with some great entertainment on both evenings:- - Friday - To be confirmed
- Saturday - The Titanic Washhoose Band
The format, or at least, the running order has been changed this year with the Titanic Washhoose Band appearing on the Saturday night rather than the Friday. As our local band the Titanic always go down very well (just like the beer) and there was a feeling that the Saturday was the best night to slot them in! On the Friday it is hoped to have 2 or 3 slots with a variety of styles of music from other local entertainers (of which there are a good few in Bo'ness) so Friday will be another good night. And not forgetting, of course, a great range of local beers & ales for you to enjoy as well.
Commemorative GlassPart of the delay in posting an update on the festival was that we havn't yet finalised a theme for our commemorative glasses. As in previous year we like to commemorate some special or significant historical event to make your glass worth holding on to but it's been difficult to narrow it down as there is a lot going on in Bo'ness at the moment. But, again, as they say, whoever they are, "It will be alright on the night" and you won't have to bring your own! And, as usual, to fill the glasses there will be 20+ Local Scottish Beers available from the following breweries for your enjoyment:- - Bridge of Allan
- City of Stirling
- Fowlers
- Harviestoun
- Inveralmond
- Stewart Brewing
- Tryst Brewery
- Williams Bros
- and more...
Continues from strength to strengthNow in its 7 year the Bo'ness Real Ale Festival continues to get better and better with:- - More sponsors
- More great entertainment
- More variety of real ales
- and, of course, more of YOU, who without, the Festival would not exist
so its a big thanks to everyone who contributes in one way or another and we look forward to continue going from strength to strength.
